Step 1: Open Instagram
Begin by opening your Instagram account (if you already have). If you don’t have an account, sign up on Instagram and create an account!
Step 2: Create an Instagram post
When you are on Instagram, create a new post. Just click the plus (+) symbol in the bottom of your screen.
Step 3: Upload a picture
In the menu under the image, make sure “Camera Roll” is selected. Then, swipe up to scroll through your photos, and choose the picture you want to post.
Step 4: Tag people
After you’re done with photo filters, you are now on the share screen. Add any desired captions, hashtags, or a location. Then, tap “Tag people.”
Step 5: Tap on the user you want to tag
Now, your photo will appear on a new screen. Tap where you want the tag to appear. It is always better to tag someone on Instagram on a face. Furthermore, you can tag any brand who has an Instagram account. In this case, place the tag on the company’s logo. After tapping on the photo, the words “Who’s this” will appear on the screen.
Step 6: Search for and select the user
Now, you need to search for the individual’s username in the search bar. As you do, Instagram will suggest friends who have usernames with the letters you are typing. You might need to hit enter to see the search results.
Step 7: Share the post
Now, all you need to do is hit the “Share” button and publish your post!
How to Tag Someone on Instagram Stories
Step 1: Create a story
To create an Instagram story, go to your Instagram feed and tap on the camera icon on the top left of the screen (or swipe right).
Step 2: Take (upload) an image
Tap the white button in the bottom center of the screen to take a picture, or hold it down to take a video. Swipe up to upload an image or video from your camera roll.
Step 3: Tap the stickers’ icon
Add any filters, text, or other effects. Then, to tag someone on Instagram, tap the Instagram stickers’ icon.
Step 4: Tap @Mention
You’ll now see options for custom Instagram story stickers. Tap the one that says, ‘@Mention’ – this is how you will mention, or tag someone on Instagram story.
Step 5: Search for the user select it
Start typing the username of the individual you want to tag someone on Instagram. It will appear on the drop-down menu. Then, you need to select it.
Step 6: Edit your tag
Once you’ve tagged someone on Instagram in your story, before publishing, you may want to edit the sticker tag in terms of colour, size, and position.
Step 7: Publish your story
Now all left to do is share your story. Tap the “Your story” button in the bottom-left corner to share with all of your followers. Also, you can select who you want to share your story by tapping ‘Send to.’
Tag Someone on Instagram with AiGrow
